It’s Christmas!
It’s a WONDERFUL LIFE!
4 Secrets to help you
have a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year!
1. Prevent Falls and
Injuries
Falls cause more deaths and injuries than diseases like cancer.
Preventing falls requires strong ankles. One of the
Million Dollar Tips I share in every seminar is to exercise your ankles
– several times a day if possible. It is SO easy!
When you are seated, make circles, with your feet,
turning them to the left and right several times. Then, stretch them up
and down several times. It feels good.
You can do these exercises anywhere! Sitting at your desk, in a movie, or
watching TV.
And don’t forget to take Vitamin D supplements. It
helps protect your bones. Diet alone rarely gives you the amount needed.
2. Be Cheerful!
Take charge of your life. Look on the sunny side of life.
Smile. Be happy.
“A merry heart does good, like a medicine.”
Prov.17:22.
No one can do this for you. It’s up to you. Be
determined to enjoy every day. Give a smile to each person you meet,
they need it! Your smile can change their day – and yours as well.
Don’t be blue or feel “down”
because of things you don’t have, or can’t change. Just count the
blessings you already have! And, remember, God’s plans for you are good
and more blessings are on the way!
3. Eat Special
Treats!
Pick out one of your favorite treats and eat half of the serving. Or if you
just can’t choose between two, have a couple of bites or a “sliver” of
each. Just don’t eat all you could.
If you don’t allow yourself a few bites of the special
goodies that people make only at Christmas time, you’re going to feel so
mistreated…you are liable to fall off your diet and really “pig out.”
Then, you might be keep on stuffing yourself the whole
holiday season and regret it 10 pounds later!
4. Be Thankful!
Focus on making someone less fortunate happy. Consider giving a small gift to
a little child, who has no father; it might be the only gift they
receive. There are many kids who need to know someone cares about them.
Try taking food or a Christmas basket to a lonely widow.
Just talking to them would make their Christmas and yours very special.
Christmas “blues” are common. Often, grown-ups don’t
receive many presents. Maybe their parents are dead, and siblings are
far away, or budgets are too tight for gifts. So, feeling “forgotten”
brings on sadness, depression and Christmas “blues.”
Beat Christmas “blues” by being thankful. Say it out
loud! You need to hear it and so do the angels! Say something like this:
·
“I’m
thankful I can walk – many people can’t do that.”
·
“I’m thankful I can talk –
many people can’t sing or speak.”
·
“I’m thankful I can see –
many people can’t enjoy a sunset or see beautiful flowers.”
I’ll close in thanking God for Jesus, whose birth we celebrate – this is the
reason Christmas was set aside by Congress as a national holiday!
Merry Christmas to all!

that we might have forgiveness of our sins and eternal life!
